Afterword from FALL IN!™ 2007
Thanks to all who attended FALL IN!™ 2007! It was a great convention in spite of the
weather (Sunday the sun finally came out allowing many to enjoy a stroll around the
battlefield before heading home). This year the exhibitor hall was sold out and almost
1700 gamers, gamemasters,
exhibitors and friends turned out to play and shop! Games and tournaments abounded and
the return of Military Science Theater was well attended.
I want to specially thank the volunteer staff who put in long hours to make the
convention a success. While all staff members worked hard a few stood out and I want
to make sure they are recognized.
James Mattes was my right hand and really helped me keep the convention on track,
thanks for all the hard work and extremely long hours!
Mike Hillsgrove worked a double shift at the events desk and ran MST2000 all with
a tooth ache that would have sent many people rushing off to the hospital. He did
seek a dentist out Sunday and all is well. Thanks for suffering through the show!
Roni Giglio handled the registration desk and made sure we had adequate number
of staff, not an easy job with last minute illnesses! Thanks for all the hard work
and for making sure the registration area ran smoothly.
Neal Schlaffer, Mike Betz and Bruce Eggleston expertly worked the exhibitor hall.
Neal put in long hours before the show planning the layout and making sure the
floorplan was correct even though he was not feeling well and did not make it
FALL IN!™ until Saturday! Mike and Bruce made sure the onsite work was
done flawlessly and worked Neal's shift at the show. They did all this without
complaint! Thanks again!
Without the staff, our conventions do not function so thanks again for volunteering!
Work has started on FALL IN!™ 2008 already and with your help we will make this
show even bigger and better! If you are interested in running a big or special game
in 2008 please contact me so we can promote your game!
